"Further to a special resolution approved by the shareholders of the Algonquin Power Venture Fund Inc. ("APVF"), APVF has been restructured from its status as a Labour Sponsored Venture Capital Corporation to that of an exchange listed public corporation. Pursuant to the special resolution, APVF has been amalgamated with Highground Capital Corp.

Effective at the opening on Tuesday, October 9th, 2007, the common shares of Highground Capital Corp. commenced trading on the TSX Venture Exchange. The Company's trading symbol is HCC.
