IAN
ROBERTSON
Chief Executive Officer, Director, Member of Investment Committee
and Member of Audit and Valuation Committee.
Ian is a founding shareholder of Algonquin Power Corporation
Inc. in 1988. He has over 15 years of experience in development,
financing, acquisition and operation of electric power generating
projects both in North America and internationally. Ian holds
a professional electrical engineer designation through his Bachelors
of Applied Science awarded by the University of Waterloo and a
Master of Business Administration degree from York University.
In addition, Ian was awarded a Chartered Financial Analyst designation
in 2000. His academic and professional experience have combined
to assist in his principal occupation as Executive Director, Business
Development for APIF.

K. JARRATT
Director, Member of Investment Committee
Chris is a founder and principal of Algonquin Power Corporation
Inc. in 1988. He has over 19 years of experience in the design,
construction and operation of independent electric power generating
projects both in North America and internationally. Chris holds
a professional engineer designation through his Bachelors of Applied
Science from the University of Guelph with a minor degree in water
resource management. His development and operational experience
have assisted Chris in his principal occupation as Executive Director,
Operations for APIF.

TOM
REES
Director, Member of Investment Committee
and Member of Audit and Valuation Committee
Thomas Rees is Vice President of the international Union of Allied, Novelty and Production Workers, Local 905 and has been a union representative of the Local since 2004. Thomas is involved in the handling of grievances and negotiates renewals of the collective agreement on behalf of the local union’s membership. His involvement in the labour movement started with the representation of employees working in the hospitality industry, both nationally and provincially, for the Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees International Union, and in addition, was elected President of H.E.R.E. Union, local 767 Saskatchewan, from 1989 to 1993. He also participated as a labour trustee on the Local’s Pension, Health and Welfare plans from 1986 to 1993.
